The following Poems were written by Andrew Pottenger.
He signs his work "Skywalker"(no reference to the character in Star Wars).

Under the Easter Tree

You rained blood-warm love into our hearts
And we hurled rebellious spears into Yours
So now like an abberant ornament
On a twisted tree
You hang
Flesh dangling like ribbons
On the Gift presented to us
Gifts are for accepting
Acceptance is for keeping
You gave this Gift from Your heart
And we accept and keep it with ours.

Simple, Impossible Dream

O fairest one! Your love outshines
So brightly all others.
I am both fool and wise man
For never seeing you before and loving you now.

Such strong words that boil down deep within
How I dream of sharing them with you
To watch you glow with awakened love
Witness all our dreams come true
God alone understands how waiting tears me apart
For I so want to hold the embodiment of love
And bleed this heart dry of every drop
Of wonder, Gratitude, and Passion
Drained at last of restraint
Laying all my heart at your mercy

Many more times have I begun
To quicken that day's arrival
Like a glutton for love
I dreamed of you until it hurt
Then dreamed once again
Someday, I pray you come true
As I know somehow you will
For morning always follows night
And summer unfailingly destroys the winter
So your love will forever deny loneliness.
